3 DAYS TOUR FROM FES

We will pick you up from your riad/hotel to begin your 3-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour, then travel south via the Middle Atlas highlands to Ifrane and Azrou.
We will stop along the journey to visit the Barbarian Apes in their native environment. As you reach Errachidia, you’ll witness views of the Middle-Atlas plateau and the environment altering to give clues of the desert as you go via the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and down the beautiful Ziz Gorges cut by volcanic rock.
After lunch, we’ll continue on to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga through the Ziz Valley. After a drink of mint tea, we’ll leave our belongings in a secure place and ride a camel to a Berber camp in the center of the tallest dunes in North Africa, the Erg Chebbi Sad. The camel trip from the camp to put up Berber tents for our night in the desert takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Mattresses, blankets, and pillows are provided in the tents. After supper, we’ll gather around the fire to listen to traditional Berber drums played beneath the stars. That concludes the first day of our Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour.

We will see a spectacular dawn over the dunes. We will return to Merzouga on camels or 4WD after a nice breakfast and a hot wash in the tent.
Then we’ll leave the Sahara sand and go to Tinghir, or “the city of the mountain,” in Tamazight, another lovely Berber community where we’ll marvel at the contrast of their palm trees and the unusual hue of their dwellings. The road where the countryside reveals its contrasts.
We are at the Todra gorges, which are made by rock walls of more than 200 meters high, and after exploring them, we will go to the Dades Valley, a Berber settlement noted for its steep gorges and vistas of the Atlas, which is now visible on the horizon. The second night of the Fes to Marrakech desert excursion is spent at a charming riad.

On the last day of our 3-Day Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour, we will travel through the Valley of the Dades and the Valley of the Roses before arriving in Ouarzazate and seeing the Kasbah of Taourirt.
After around 25 kilometers, we will arrive to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site notable for serving as the setting for Hollywood blockbusters such as the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia”, “The Protective Sky”, and “Babel”.
We will continue the route across the Tizi N-Tichka pass and the stunning views of the High Atlas mountains until we arrive in Marrakech, the “Red City,” and say our goodbyes to your guide.
