We will start our 4 DAYS TOUR FROM MARRAKECH, southeast through the High Atlas through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass, with a far-reaching view of the mountains, traveling to the ancient Berber communities of the High Atlas, after we have met at the agreed upon location.
Then we will go to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, and you will have lunch in one of the Kasbah restaurants. After that, we will proceed to the Dades Valley, where we will spend the night in a hotel or riad.
We will leave Merzouga after breakfast and drive to Erg Chebbi. Along the way there are several Berber communities. We will pass Todra Gorges, Tenghir, Tinjdad and Erfoud, where we will sample the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet.
Then we will continue driving to a hotel in Merzouga, where you will put some of your belongings in a compact bag (only what you will need for the night in the desert) and leave the rest at the hotel.
After that we will go on an adventure crossing the dunes of the Erg Chebbi on camels.
This is a fantastic opportunity to photograph the sunset and sunrise. We will walk to the highest dunes to sandboard and watch the sunset once we reach the camp.
In the middle of the Sahara, we will spend the night in a Berber nomad tent camp with drum music.
The first day in the desert will begin with a drive to the Khamlia village, home of black-skinned Berbers, to enjoy their amazing music and different dances, then continue to a nomadic family to learn about their lifestyle and enjoy a cup of tea, before continuing to a one and a half hour stop for lunch under the shade of a desert tree.
In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel for a cup of mint tea and to relax before the 1hr 30min camel ride to the camp, during which we will experience a spectacular sunset and skiboard from the top of the next highest dune to the camp.
Spend the night under a sky lit by millions of stars while listening to Berber music, and you will feel like a nomad.
Our team will wake you up early in the morning to watch the sunrise from the top of the dunes in the Erg Chebbi desert, while you enjoy your breakfast.
After these delicious moments, you will return to the hotel on your camel and take a shower. You will travel to Errachidia via Erfoud, Aoufous, and the Ziz valley, with a break at the Aoufous oasis in the Tafilalte region.
We continue to Midelt, passing the TiziN’talghamt Pass, and stop for lunch. After lunch, you will be driven to Fes (the medieval city) through the Cedar Forest between Azrou and the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you may spot Barbary macaques (monkeys). Before reaching Fes, you may want to stop in Ifrane.
